ABOUT THE ROLE:
Shift EV is seeking a skilled and motivated After Sales Engineer to join our team and take
charge of handling after-sales services related to lithium-ion batteries. The After Sales
Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction, troubleshooting technical
issues, providing technical support, and managing warranty claims. This position requires in-
depth knowledge of lithium-ion batteries and their application, as well as excellent customer
service and problem-solving abilities.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Support:
● Serve as the primary point of contact for customers requiring technical support
related to lithium-ion batteries.
● Collaborate with customers to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring their
satisfaction and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Field Support:
● Provide on-site assistance to customers when necessary, assessing battery
performance, conducting inspections, and resolving technical issues.
● Collaborate with the sales team to conduct product demonstrations, installations, and
post-installation inspections.
Training and Documentation:
● Develop and deliver training programs for customers and internal staff on the proper
handling, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lithium-ion batteries.
● Create and update technical documentation, including user manuals, troubleshooting
guides, and FAQs, to support customers and internal stakeholders.
Warranty Management:
● Oversee the warranty process for lithium-ion batteries, 1) evaluating warranty claims,
2) coordinating repairs or replacements, and 3) ensuring compliance with warranty
terms and conditions.
● Maintain accurate records of warranty claims, repairs, and replacements.
YOU HAVE:
● Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related
field
● Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
● 3-5 years proven experience in after-sales support or technical customer service,
preferably in the field of lithium-ion batteries or electric vehicles.
● In-depth knowledge of lithium-ion batteries, including their design, operation,
maintenance, and troubleshooting.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve
technical issues effectively.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical
information to non-technical individuals.
● Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites for field support and training
purposes.
